Site is under construction

I know the site looks the same at the moment but it is under construction and should be ready to coincide with the next issue. We're working on cleaning it up, and looking at how it can be made more friendlier for 2011. The idea of constantly changing and growing the magazine has always been an attractive feature so bring on the change.

There is also a new writer joining team Think for the Resort issue Daniel will contribute to the wearable technology section since Erich is on hiatus for this issue but Daniel will be writing fashion. So here we go with year two. We hope to do the same job if not better in the second year of this growing publication.

A collaborate effort

Since we're still in production of the next issue I thought I'd share a recent collaboration project the magazine is involved in. Since the last issue of the magazine Stylesight will supply the magazine with a comprehensive trend report for the next three issues.

I don't know if you can this very well, but this is the feature they ran with the last issue. You can read part one of  a three part contribution by viewing The Bond issue 007 as my Mother likes to call it. Issue 008 is shaping up to be another great resort issue, I'm looking forward to sharing it with you.

Joining forces

Think magazine and The Compassion Fashion Project are teaming up on a charity event. We're still hashing out the details but I'm really excited about working with Meredith and I can't wait for it to get going.

It's resort time

It's the perfect time to think about a winter break isn't it? Snowstorms and cold weather are part of my world right now, but so is the resort issue which is in progress.

We're starting on February's resort issue but I thought I'd start the year looking back today as it ended on such a high note. Here's a recap of some of the best images published in 2010.

Who did the cover?

Graphic designer, DJ and writer Alexander Horne not only writes for Think magazine but he also did this issue's cover and the feedback has been very very positive.

Alexander has in the past designed books, and posters on a global scale, his direction has a likeness to cubism in my opinion and is highly recognizable.

Designer update: Ronen Kadushin

Designer Ronen Kadushin is at it again with his open design concept chair and this time he's designed a few more using the same flat pack principle.

 Think magazine covered this designer last year in the first resort issue. Ronen told us why he allows others to modify his work and why all designers should follow suit in sharing their work.

Second Anniversary giveaway

We've got not one but two sleek TRTL BOT iPhone 4 covers to giveaway in celebration of the magazine's first year. One has the kickstand, the other has the credit card holder in the back. Both are made from upcycled plastic bottles, and come in minimal packaging to cut down on shipping waste.

Think magazine issue 007 is now online

The current issue and our last issue of the year is online now for viewing.  Some very quick news we've partnered with TRTL BOT and Stylesight and we're quite excited about that.

We're working away on issue 007 and as we close out the year we're looking back at all the issues with excitement. Thank you to my team and guest contrbutors, you are amazing people and thank you to all that has lent their support.

Lucky number seven

We're spring cleaning, reminiscing, revamping, and working on issue 007, one of the most important issues to date. It will include reports on design and wearable technology as always but we're increasing the content as I type this and we're all quite excited to share it. In the mean time have a look at the first 3 issues starting with issue 001 and you will see why we love design and all it compasses.

Think magazine anniversary giveaway

Our anniversary issue is now online and we’re celebrating our first anniversary by giving away prizes for a year. If you haven’t already viewed the anniversary issue online please do and tell us what you liked the best. The site is still a work in progress, but we have made sharing easier by including all the usual sharing buttons on the right hand side so you can now send it to your friends via email or share it on Facebook and Twitter. Also both blogs now can be accessed under sustainable living and fashion. Again we’re working on how to best present them for viewing, this is your chance to share your opinions with us by email or social media. Other news, should we go to print? It’s been a question from the start. We’ve had multiple inquiries and we’re now preparing some of that back issues for print. Think magazine issue 006

Think magazine's anniversary issue is finally online. It's been one year since we started this magazine and it has been a very interesting and challenging journey. As previously mentioned we are going to kick off our celebration by giving away prizes with every issue forthcoming for the next year.

I will also be giving a Q & A via iPhone on Pushforward the social media house apps that's available for free for the month of September if you haven't downloaded this apps I suggest you do so before time runs out. More announcements to come on what the first prize is and when the Q & A on iPhone will take place. In the mean time take a look at the current issue and you'll see why we love future of design.

One year anniversary giveaways

After a brief week away I'm back and feverishly working on the next issue which we're thrilled to say is our first anniversary issue. Celebrating one year being online I really had to think about how to celebrate this issue since it came up so fast. A party would have been great but there hasn't been anytime to plan. So I've decided to celebrate for the next year with a quite a few contest giveaways.
