Lunar power

Can you guess what this is? Do you give up? It's a lunar calendar for 2010 created by Patrick Corrigan. This calendar charts the moon phases so you know when to stay off the streets or stay out of hospitals. Even if you don't believe, but like graphics this will entertain you for a very long time.

This is a beautifully presented poster made from a high rag count paper and archival inks. Patrick didn't spare the quality nor the care that went into making this poster and yes it's for sale if you want to visit James' blog for further details.

Think magazine follow's up with Thomas Modeen

Architect and Professor Thomas Modeen`s work was featured in our 002 issue as the cover story Cutting Away. An intricate series of art pieces made from laser cut paper combined architectural techniques and sculpture to form the exhibition Paper Cuts.

Since last we spoke, Thomas moved to Qatar to teach the new MFA program at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar. We were also thrilled to learn that there are future exhibitions in progress, now he didn`t say too much about what they are but I imagine they will be a strong visual presentation.

Charles Olsen

Charles Olsen painting, living, and working in Madrid since 2003 is part of a collective called Artistas de España. Consisting of painters, grafitti artists, illustrators, photographers and film makers the collective work together as a unit promoting Spanish artists .

Studying flamenco guitar at Amor de Dios Charles met a flamenco dancer who was the inspiration for the painting shown above. I asked him who he would like to collaborate with and he told me it would have to be with his friends and people he would meet on his journey.

Signature stormy brush strokes and an penchant for abstractivism is prevalent throughout Charles' work. In 2007 he won second place at the Saatchi showdown at the Saatchi Gallery.

Collaborations I would like to see: Goya, Dolce &Gabbana,Olivier Theyssens
